In January this year, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, approved several new community projects in Hatta, Dubai’s adventure hub. Among these is the innovative ‘Hatta Beach’ development.
Despite Hatta being landlocked, Dubai’s vision knows no bounds. The Hatta Beach will feature a man-made Crystal Lagoon spanning 10,000 square meters, surrounded by a variety of upscale leisure amenities.
This development offers an ideal retreat after a day full of adventures, including wadi hikes, kayaking, horse riding, mountain biking, zip-lining, axe-throwing, archery, zorbing, climbing, and bodyboarding, all amidst the scenic mountainous terrain.
The Hatta Master Development Plan, initiated by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, includes several other significant projects. These comprise cable cars offering scenic views over Hatta Dam, waterfalls, new hiking and biking trails, restoration efforts at Wadi Lim Lake, and enhancements to UNESCO World Heritage sites like the Hatta tombs and the Falaj Al Shari’a. The plan also envisions a new Hatta Souq with 70 commercial units, more hotels and luxury resorts, development of Hatta downtown, new attractions at Hatta Heritage Village, and improvements to the Leem lake area.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized, “We attentively heed to the aspirations and needs of the people of Dubai. We strive against time to fulfil their requirements and support them in realizing their ambitions. Our development strategies and action plans are implemented by numerous teams working cohesively. Enhancing the quality of life for our people remains our top priority.”
