In the mid-2000s, Aldar Properties and Ferrari investors collaborated to establish Ferrari World Abu Dhabi as a marketing and educational venture. This partnership saw successful involvement from Mubadala Development and the Italian furniture producer Poltrona Frau Group, whose furnishings adorn the Ferrari headquarters in Maranello.
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, often simply referred to as Ferrari World, is situated near the capital of the United Arab Emirates and stands as the world’s largest indoor theme park dedicated exclusively to the Ferrari brand. Spanning over 86,000 square meters, it covers an area equivalent to seven football fields. Positioned on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, it forms part of a cluster of infrastructure linked by the themes of speed, racing, and advanced technology.
Overseeing extensive planning and geological studies, Ramboll led the initiative. The architecture of the building, shaped like a three-pointed star, incorporates slides, games, an auditorium, shops, restaurants, and offices. Notably, the distinctive bright red metal-coated roof, resembling the lines of a Ferrari GT, was designed by Benoy.
A standout attraction within the park is the 62-meter G-Force tower, centrally located within the curved funnel-shaped roof structure, which descends to ground level, separated from the rest of the building by a glass barrier. The massive steel dome, weighing nearly 6,500 tons, is the world’s largest of its kind, providing a unique indoor space for attractions and exhibitions while offering protection from the elements.
With over 40 rides and entertainment options, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi features several popular attractions, including Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest rollercoaster, reaching speeds of up to 240 km/h, giving riders the sensation of wind rushing through their hair and an adrenaline rush.

Getting to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi:
By Car: Driving from Dubai to Abu Dhabi is straightforward. Just follow the Sheikh Zayed Expressway and heed the road signs. It typically takes around 25 minutes to reach Yas Island from Abu Dhabi by car. Free parking spots are available, along with valet parking service (for 42 AED).
By Shuttle Bus: Enjoy the complimentary Yas Express buses circulating Abu Dhabi, providing transportation to Yas Mall, where the park is located. Alternatively, utilize the complimentary minibus service from Sheraton (Mall of Emirates). Departing at 11:00 AM local time, it takes approximately 90 minutes to reach Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi, next to Ferrari World. The return trip departs from the Yas Mall gate at 7:30 PM. By Bus: If departing from Dubai, opt for buses marked E100, E101, or E102. With a ticket price of just 25 AED, this is an affordable option. From Abu Dhabi’s main bus station (located at the intersection of Hazza bin Zayed the First St. and East Rd.), take bus 190, which will take you directly to the entrance.
